🎯 Objective
Win chips by either having the best 5-card poker hand at showdown, or by making all other players fold before showdown.
🎴 Setup
- Standard 52-card deck
- 2-10 players (6-9 players is ideal)
- Dealer button rotates clockwise each hand
- Small blind and big blind post forced bets
📋 How to Play
- Blinds Posted: Small blind (left of dealer) and big blind (left of small blind) post forced bets
- Hole Cards Dealt: Each player receives 2 private cards face down
- Pre-Flop Betting: First betting round starts with player left of big blind
- The Flop: Three community cards dealt face up, followed by second betting round
- The Turn: Fourth community card dealt, followed by third betting round
- The River: Fifth community card dealt, followed by final betting round
- Showdown: Remaining players reveal cards; best 5-card hand wins the pot
Betting Rounds Explained
Pre-Flop
After receiving hole cards, before community cards
Players act based on their two hole cards
The Flop
First three community cards are dealt
Players act with 5 cards known (2 hole + 3 community)
The Turn
Fourth community card is dealt
Players act with 6 cards known
The River
Fifth and final community card is dealt
Players act with all 7 cards known
Player Actions
Check:
Pass action without betting (only if no bet before you)
Bet:
Put chips into the pot
Call:
Match the current bet
Raise:
Increase the current bet
Fold:
Forfeit the hand and any chips already invested
All-In:
Bet all remaining chips
